Description

East Lodge is an entrance lodge belonging to Chicksands Priory, dated 1866 and associated with George Robert Osborn, the sixth Baronet, who lived from 1818 to 1892. The building is constructed from coursed limestone with ashlar dressings and features a clay tile roof. It has a T-plan layout, consisting of one storey and attics.

On the east elevation, the left-hand block includes a ground floor window with mullions and a transom. The right-hand gable features a two-light mullioned window in the attic, both of which are leaded and have moulded labels. The right-hand gable also has a four-centred arched door, accompanied by a gabled open porch with turned timber balusters. The gables are topped with stone coping, and there is a multiple ridge stack on the left-hand block. The building exhibits similar window styles throughout, including a canted bay on the south elevation.
