Description
East Lodge, along with its boundary wall, railing, and gate at Osberton Hall, is an early 19th-century lodge with a later 19th-century addition on the right. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features canted and hipped stone slate roofs with stone hips, as well as ashlar dressings and timber eaves. The lodge has four centrally grouped diagonally set chimneys. All windows are surrounded by chamfered and rebated surrounds with hood moulds.
The building is single storey and has three bays arranged in a cross plan. The south front includes a central canted projecting bay with three four-centred arched lancet windows that have cast iron lattice glazing bars. To the left, there is a diagonally set porch in the return angle, featuring a coped parapet and a four-centred arched door with a hood mould. To the right of the porch is a double lancet window, while the left end has a similar double lancet. The right end features a four-centred arched door with a hood mould to the left, alongside one double lancet and one casement window.
The exterior includes a dwarf ashlar boundary wall with chamfered coping that supports fleur de lys iron railings. There is a pair of chamfered square cast iron gateposts with square caps and ball finials, along with a pair of wrought iron gates. To the right, there are smaller posts and a small iron wicket gate.
