Description
The Brewery and Water Tower at Osberton Hall is a late 18th-century structure that was raised in the 19th century. It features coursed squared rubble and an octagonal graduated slate roof. The building has a plinth, ashlar dressings, and bands at the second and third floors. It is designed with an octagonal plan and consists of four stages, along with a single-storey wing that has two bays.
The main west front includes a central door flanked by single glazing bar casements. Above this, there is a central blocked opening flanked by a single blocked opening and a glazing bar sash. Higher up, there is a smaller blocked opening flanked by a single round blocked opening and a single circular window. At the top, there is a central casement with two similar flanking casements.
The rear elevation features a central hatch and similar fenestration. The left wing has a 20th-century opening beyond a garden wall, while the right side includes a three-light Yorkshire sash and a 20th-century two-leaf door with an overlight. A link wall to the right has three segmental arched openings with brick heads and ashlar coping. Inside, the brewery contains 19th-century equipment, including a copper, mash tun, washback, and fermenting vessels.
