Description

This is a pair of 18th-century dwellings, later subdivided into flats, located on King Street, Potton. The building is constructed of red brick with a clay tile roof. It is a two-story block with projecting wings to the rear. The front facade has three three-light windows on each floor; the first-floor windows have segmental heads. There are two doorways: the left-hand one has a plank door, and the right-hand one has a six-panel door with the top two panels glazed. Both doors are surrounded by moulded detailing and have flat hoods supported by cut brackets. A brick dentil cornice runs along the eaves. One brick ridge stack sits atop the roof, and there is an integral brick stack on the right-hand gable end. The building is included on the list for its group value.
