Description
6 and 8 King Street are a pair of 18th-century houses located on the east side of King Street in Potton. They are constructed of red brick, with the right-hand gable end being partly rendered, and feature a slated gambrel roof. The buildings are two storeys high with attics and have a symmetrical facade.
On the ground floor, there are two panelled doors set within simple architrave surrounds, flanked by two-light casement windows. The first floor has three two-light casement windows. Both the first and ground floor windows have glazing bars and are topped with flat arched heads that include painted keyblocks. The attic features two box dormers, each containing two-light casement windows with glazing bars. A brick band runs along the first floor level, and there is a simple brick cornice at the eaves level. The right-hand end has a rebuilt brick integral stack.
