Description

This is a dovecote located approximately 30 metres west of Church Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century and reworked in the 19th century. The upper part is timber framed, while much of the lower part has been encased or rebuilt in brick. The brick areas are partly rendered, and the timbered sections have colourwashed rendered infill. The roof is covered with clay tiles, featuring a hipped lower part and gablets on the upper part. The south elevation has a plank door and an inserted three-light casement window. The east elevation includes a row of holes at eaves level for bird access, although the nesting boxes have been removed.
