Description

Brook Farmhouse is a 17th-century house with later alterations. It is mainly timber-framed with red brick infill, although parts of the ground floor have been rebuilt in red brick, and later additions are also in red brick. The roof is covered with clay tiles. The building has a complex plan, comprising two-storey blocks to the east, a one-storey and attic block projecting to the west, and another one-storey and attic block set within the northwest angle. Most of the windows are 2 and 3-light casements with glazing bars. A red brick integral gable end stack is located at the east end, and a red brick multiple ridge stack is situated on the northwest side. Entrances are on the south and east elevations.
