Description

This is an 18th-century cottage that was altered and extended in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with a slate roof and gable coping to the south end. Originally a two-bay building, a further bay was added to the north. A red brick chimney stack rises from the ridge of the original cottage’s north end. The west elevation has two two-light leaded lattice casement windows on the first floor of the original cottage, and a rectangular paned two-light leaded casement window to the added bay. On the ground floor of the original cottage are a three-light and a two-light lattice leaded casement window, flanking a central stone porch with a slated, gabled roof. The added bay on the ground floor has a two-light rectangular paned casement window.
