Description

This is an 18th-century cottage, extended in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of colourwashed coursed limestone rubble, with brick extensions, and has a clay tile roof. The original part of the cottage features integral end stacks and a two-room plan. A modern porch has been added at the right-hand end. The original section has two casement windows on each floor, with leaded lights. A 19th-century extension includes a ground floor window with a cambered head and a leaded-light casement, as well as a gabled dormer positioned on the eaves line. This building has group value, contributing to the character of its setting.
