Description
This is a 17th-century cottage with a 19th-century extension located 30 meters south of Sycamore in Podington. The building is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features a thatched roof with stone coping on the southwest gable end. It has an L-shaped plan and is one storey with attics. The northwest elevation includes eyebrow dormers and three ground floor casement windows, all of which are leaded. The southeast elevation has one eyebrow dormer and two ground floor casements. There is a projecting gabled wing at the northeast end, which has a doorhood in the angle between the wings. At the southeast end of this wing, there is a two-storey 19th-century addition made of red brick with a pantiled roof, featuring lattice casement windows on each floor.
