Description

Vine Cottage is a late 17th or early 18th century building situated on Bicester Road, Long Crendon, and previously known as Hollington. It is a one-storey and attic cottage constructed of colour-washed rubble stone. The roof is thatched, with a half-hipped west end and a gable featuring a chimney at the east end. The south-facing rear elevation is plain with a single window. The east gable features a timber-framed gable and an upper casement window. The north front incorporates a 20th-century bay window and door, sheltered by a tiled pantile roof. The west elevation has a modern flat-roofed link to a new wing, and the hipped west gable includes an upper casement window. The interior retains exposed chamfered ceiling beams.
