Description
The Old Vicarage is a former vicarage dating from 1778, as indicated by the inscription on a circular panel in the tympanum of the pediment. The building is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with ironstone quoins, bands, and window heads, and features a hipped Welsh slate roof. Originally designed in an L-plan, it has had later wings added to the rear.
The structure is two storeys high. The northwest elevation has a central section that slightly projects and features a pediment with three 1:1:1 sash windows on the first floor; the outer two windows have glazing bars. There is a 19th-century, one-storey flat-roofed addition at the centre. A moulded cornice is present, along with a three-light sash window. The southeast wing has three sash windows with glazing bars on each floor, and there is a one-storey extension to this wing with a gabled slate roof. The southeast gable end displays a datestone from 1783. Additionally, there is a 19th-century wing to the northeast that also has a hipped Welsh slate roof.
