Description
5 and 6 Gold Street is a house dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, with alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a roof that is partly thatched and partly covered with pantiles. It has a gable end facing the road and consists of one storey with attics.
On the southeast elevation, there are two dormer windows, one with a gable and the other with an eyebrow design. The ground floor has 20th-century casement windows. At the northeast end, there is a one-storey addition that is rendered and has a pantile roof. The northwest elevation includes three dormers: one gabled and two with eyebrow designs, along with 20th-century ground floor windows, one of which is a shallow bow window.
The building is included for its group value.
