Description
Rose Bank is a cottage located on the north-west side of High Street in Riseley. It has the date "T.D, 1745" inscribed on the dormer, but it is likely from the 17th century. The exterior features colour-washed rough cast over a substantial timber frame, and it has an old clay tile roof with brick coping on the south-west gable. The building has a three-bay plan, with the north-east bay originally serving as a stable and loft. It is one storey with attics and includes two three-light leaded horizontal sash windows on the ground floor, along with two gabled dormers that have two-light casements. The front door is located at the centre of the two south-west bays. There is one red brick ridge stack and one red brick integral stack on the south-west gable end, both also built in red brick.
