Description

The Medical Hall is a mid-19th century corner building that stands three storeys tall, constructed from red brick. It features a moulded eaves cornice. The front elevation has two windows with moulded surrounds, which are shouldered at the top floor, and cornices on brackets for the first floor. The windows are hung sashes with glazing bars. The ground floor includes two shop windows with round arched heads, and a glazed door with a rectangular fanlight, entablature, and an ornamented cornice.

On the side elevation facing Church Street, there is one blocked window and two windows with cornices on consoles on the first and second floors. The ground floor doorway has round-headed surrounds set in round-arched recesses, with a four-panel door and an ornamental semi-circular fanlight above. This elevation also features a rendered moulded cornice and parapet. A slightly lower section of this elevation is the former warehouse, which has two segmental-headed windows across three storeys, along with one window on the ground floor and a segmental-headed doorway with a fanlight and flush panelled double doors.
