Description
10 High Street is a late 18th century to early 19th century building located in Chesterfield. It features a red brick facade adorned with a moulded eaves cornice. The building stands three storeys tall and has three windows, each with stuccoed lintels. The first-floor windows are sashes with late 19th-century glazing, while the second-floor windows have glazing bars but feature an adapted opening top light.
The ground floor showcases an early 19th-century shop front that includes Corinthian pilasters and an elaborate entablature with a modillion cornice and a letter frieze. The shop windows are modern reproductions with glazing bars and a central entrance. To the west, there is a round arched doorway with a cobweb fanlight, and to the east, a segmental arched carriageway entrance. Additionally, there is a long rear wing.
