Description

Swancote Farmhouse is probably a 15th-century building, largely re-clad in the 19th century with some alterations made in the mid-20th century. It is timber-framed and faced with stuccoed brick, with a tile roof. The farmhouse originally comprised three framed bays aligned east to west; a cross-wing was possibly added in the 16th century to the west end, and a cross-wing was added in the 19th century to the east end. The north front has two storeys and four gables, each containing a casement window. The entrance is on the right side of the centre and features a 20th-century half-glazed door under a tiled lean-to canopy. The interior has not been inspected, but is likely to be of interest.
