Description

Arnold Farmhouse is a 15th-century farmhouse with a significantly altered 19th-century front facade. The building is timber-framed, with the front elevation rendered. The left end elevation is of 20th-century brown brick, while the right end elevation features brown brick on the ground floor and weatherboarding above. The roof is tiled with a gabled section to the left and a hipped section to the right, incorporating a gablet. There are red brick stacks on the front slope of the roof towards the right end, and a brown brick gable end stack on the front slope to the left. The building stands on a stone plinth and has a moulded wooden eaves cornice. The right gable end is jettied. The fenestration is irregular, with three 20th-century pivoting glazing-bar casements. Two adjacent doors are positioned between the central and left-end windows; the left door has six fielded panels and the right door has six sunk panels, both with flat, bracketed hoods. A rear lean-to addition is present. The interior has not been inspected.
