Description

This building is a barn and stables located about 50 metres east of Lower Hollin Farmhouse. It dates from the mid-18th century, with some alterations made in the late 19th century. The structure is built of brick and has a tile roof, oriented in a north/south direction, with the barn situated to the north. The stables feature three entrances, each with a wooden architrave, a segmental head, and a ledged and boarded door. There are diamond-shaped hit-and-miss ventilators. The barn has a large central entry with a segmental head and also includes hit-and-miss ventilators in the wall.
