Description

White House is a house built around 1700, with later alterations and additions from the late 19th century. It features a timber frame, painted brick, and is rendered, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The structure consists of two framed bays aligned in a north-east to south-west direction. It is a single storey with an attic that includes dormers. The framing includes a lower row of long rectangular panels and an upper row of square panels, with a long straight brace in the lower left corner of the south-east elevation. The south-west gable end has a collar and tie-beam truss with three struts below the collar and one in the apex.

On the south-east front elevation, there are two ground floor 2-light casement windows with plank weatherings, two gabled dormers also with 2-light casements, and a central entrance featuring a ledged and battened door with plank weathering. The interior has not been inspected.

Adjoining the south-west gable end is a single-bay, single-storey 19th-century addition with a square light and a ledged and battened door on the south-east front elevation. There is also a lean-to at the rear. Additionally, a 19th-century addition is attached to the north-east gable end; this part is made of brick and plain tiles, has a ridge stack at the south-west end, and is two storeys high with a single bay. Its south-east front elevation features a ground and first-floor 2-light casement window and a 20th-century door, both with cambered heads, as well as an attic light in the north-east gable end.
