Description

These are three houses located in Welch Gate, dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and some in the late 20th century. The houses are constructed of brick and have machine tile roofs, with rear chimney stacks. They are two storeys high with an attic space, lit by three gabled dormers. A band runs along the ground floor level. The front has three windows, and includes two-light casement windows. On the ground floor, there are two two-light casements and a central three-light casement window. The entrances to numbers 44 and 45 are paired to the left of the centre, featuring flat stone lintels, wooden architraves, and 20th-century ledged and boarded doors. The entrance to number 43 is to the right of the centre and includes a stone lintel and a half-glazed door.
