Description

Rock Cottages is a house dating from the 17th century, with a late 20th-century extension. The original structure is timber-framed with painted brick infill and has a tiled roof, while the extension is made of brick. The building consists of two framed bays that are aligned north to south, with a 20th-century cross-wing added to the south. There is a baffle entry against the east side of the centrally placed stack in the framed part. The house is one storey high with an attic that is lit by a roof light. It features two windows: a 2-light casement on the left and a single casement on the right. The central porch has a lean-to roof made of corrugated iron and a metal-framed casement at the front, with the entrance located to the left. The framing consists of three square panels high with straight tension braces.
