Description
The Tudor House is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-20th century. It features a timber-frame structure with rendered infill, partially rendered over the framing, set on a stone plinth, and topped with a tile roof. The building has a T-plan layout, with the main range consisting of two framed bays aligned from north-east to south-west, and a stem that projects to the north-west, which contains a porch. There is a centrally placed stack in the main range with two brick shafts arranged in a 6-point-star plan, as well as a gable-end stack on the south-west gable.
On the north-west front, the house has two storeys. The central gabled porch features a 3-light casement window above a mid-20th century timber entrance with a Tudor arch. To the left of the porch are three single-light casements, and to the right is a gabled dormer with a 2-light casement. On the ground floor, there is a 4-light casement window to the left and a 3-light casement to the right. The framing consists of four square panels high, and the gable of the porch is supported by two struts to the collar and V-struts in the apex.
