Description
Bull Farm Cottages, located on the west side of High Street in Inkberrow, are three houses built in the 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and 20th century. The cottages are timber-framed with painted brick infill set on a sandstone plinth. The roof is hipped at the south end and features fish scale tiles on the front slope. The building has an L-shaped plan, with limbs extending to the north and west, and a cross-wing at the west end of the east/west limb. The north/south range consists of three framed bays and has a stack to the south of the central bay, which includes a large sandstone shaft. The east/west range has one bay, while the cross-wing has two bays with a rear lateral stack made of sandstone.
The east front displays irregular fenestration across two storeys. There are two windows on the upper floor, both of which are two-light casements. The ground floor features six windows, mostly two-light casements from the 20th century, with the four central windows grouped together.
The framing of the cottages includes a mix of three and four square panels with straight angle braces. The south gable of the cross-wing has two collars supported by multiple struts.
