Description
Hunt Green House is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and an extension added in the mid-20th century. The structure is timber-framed with painted brick infill and some brick replacement walling, topped with a plain tiled roof. It features an external brick stack with tiled offsets at the east gable end and consists of two framed bays across two storeys. The framing includes four square panels from the sill to the wall-plate, and a tie-beam truss is visible in the east gable end.
The front elevation has one ground floor and two first floor 2-light casement windows. There is a lean-to porch, which is a 20th-century timber-framed addition with a brick base, featuring a planked and battened door alongside a rectangular side light. Inside, there is an intermediate collar-and-tie-beam truss with queen struts and a single row of trenched purlins. The west gable end wall has been rebuilt in brick due to the addition of the adjoining two-storey extension. There is also an outshut at the rear.
