Description

Tibbitts Farmhouse is a late 16th-century farmhouse, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and repairs in the 20th century. It is timber-framed with brick infill and has a tile roof. The building has four framed bays aligned east to west, with an external brick stack on the east gable. The south front has one storey and an attic with four gabled dormers. The ground floor features an entrance to the left of centre, accompanied by a gabled tiled porch supported by wooden posts with trellised sides. To the right of the entrance are two square bay windows, each featuring a pair of glazing-bar sashes. The timber framing is three square panels high. The gable truss has two struts to the collar, incorporating V-struts in the apex.
