Description

This barn, located about 25 metres south of Gateley Farmhouse, dates from the mid-18th century. It features a timber frame set on a brick plinth, with weatherboarding and a tiled roof. The structure consists of four framed bays running north to south. The three southern bays serve as a threshing barn with a central threshing floor, while the northern bay includes a loft above a cow house. The framing is characterized by single rectangular panels, and the trusses have two raking struts for the intermediates and two queen struts supporting the collar to the gables. Gateley Farmhouse is not part of this listing.
