Description
Cooksey Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with early 19th century and 20th century alterations. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill, and is partly constructed of brick. The building consists of two timber-framed bays aligned north-west to south-east, with a brick bay at the south-east end. There is a stack on the rear wall and a timber-framed outshot. The farmhouse has two storeys and irregular window placement, including a gabled early 19th century wing that projects off centre to the right. There are four windows in total, with three to the left of the wing: two with two lights and one with three lights under a segmental head. The entrance is immediately to the left of the wing, featuring a half-glazed door with a flat canopy above. The framing originally included four rectangular panels high, though most of these have been removed on the ground floor. The north-west gable originally had four square panels high, with a straight angle brace.
