Description

Upper Hollowfields Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick with a plain tiled roof and brick end stacks. The building is three storeys high and has a dentilled eaves cornice. It has three bays, with all windows featuring moulded architraves and cambered heads. The ground and first-floor windows are 16-pane sashes, while the second-floor windows are single-hung, 12-pane sashes. The central entrance has a lean-to canopy supported by moulded timber posts. The entrance door is six-panelled, with the upper four panels glazed, and has panelled reveals and a moulded architrave. The interior has not been inspected. A 19th-century addition is present at the rear. The farmhouse is a good example of a Georgian farmhouse, demonstrating group value.
