Description

The Tolley Memorial is a chest tomb located about 15 yards east of the Church of St Andrew. It dates from the early 19th century and is designed in the Greek Revival style. The memorial is made of ashlar and features a stepped plinth, panelled sides, corner piers, a raking cornice, and a raised top with aedicula and a pediment. There are traces of former colouring that are still clearly visible. The memorial commemorates Henry Godfrey Tolley, who died in 1822, and is prominently situated to the east of St Andrew's Church.
