Description
Norton Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with some alterations from the late 19th century and late 20th century. It is constructed of brick on a stone plinth and features a hipped tile roof with side wall stacks. The building stands two storeys tall and has a moulded stone cornice. The attic is illuminated by two gabled dormers and a circular window in the pediment of a central projection. There are three windows: the central window is a 2-light casement with Y-tracery glazing bars above, set under a semi-circular head, and is flanked by two segmental-headed 3-light casements. The central entrance features a late 19th-century wooden trellised porch with a hipped roof. The entrance itself has a moulded architrave, a fanlight, and a 20th-century half-glazed door.
