Description
A pair of pigeoncotes and a connecting carriageway form the gateway to the Manor House, located approximately 75 metres east of it. These structures date from the 17th century and are built from limestone rubble with stone slate roofs. Each pigeoncote has a rectangular plan and is two storeys high, featuring a drip course. The west gable of each has a 2-light mullion window and a doorway with plain reveals below. The northern pigeoncote includes a blocked chamfered doorway with a canted head. Both pigeoncotes have timber glover roofs. The gable walls are linked by segmental arches that are hollow-chamfered in two orders.
