Description

Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now divided into holiday flats, likely built in the late 18th century, with alterations made in the late 19th and mid-20th centuries. It features finely-jointed brickwork in Flemish bond, with ashlar dressings set on a base of limestone ashlar and rubble. The building has a two-span shallow-pitched slate roof, gable-end parapets, and ridge end stacks. It stands three storeys tall, partly adorned with a dentilled eaves cornice, and consists of three bays.

The windows have ashlar sills and gauged flat heads with ashlar keyblocks, with most being 19th-century replacements. The ground floor includes two tripartite plain sashes, while each of the upper floors has three 4-pane sashes. The central entrance is framed by a 19th-century ashlar porch featuring a flat roof and a balustraded parapet. This porch includes a full entablature, corner pilasters on pedestals, and a round-headed doorway with a moulded architrave, a six-panelled door, and a traceried fanlight. There is also a narrow round-headed light in the side elevations.

To the right side of the main structure is a hipped-roofed, two-storey, single-bay wing, which has a 3-light casement with a cambered head on both floors of its front elevation. This wing includes a lean-to addition on its right side, featuring a 2-light casement with a cambered head and a half-glazed door.
