Description
This is a detached kitchen located about 4 yards south-east of Cummin's Farmhouse, dating from the late 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a hipped roof covered with plain tiles, along with a brick chimney stack on the north-east side of the roof. The building is single storey with a square plan and has a dentilled eaves cornice. The elevation facing the farmhouse includes a large casement window and a ledged and battened door, both with cambered heads, as well as another casement window with a cambered head on the rear elevation. Inside, there is a central king post truss, a large bread oven, a boiler, and a stone sink with a pump, all of which have been retained. The kitchen was built on the site of a large former well and is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
