Description
Warndon Court is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. The building is constructed of brick on a stone plinth and features a tiled roof with stone-coped verges. It has a T-shaped plan, with the stem extending to the east and a main stack at the junction, as well as a lateral stack on the rear (south) of the stem, both having three diamond-plan shafts.
On the north front, there is a gabled wing to the right that is two storeys high and has a gable-lit attic. This wing features a 3-light stone mullioned window, and on the first floor, there is a 3-light casement window under a segmental head, with a similar window on the ground floor. The main range to the left has two windows; the left one is a 3-light stone mullioned window, while the right is a 3-light casement. On the ground floor, to the left, there is a 3-light casement with a stone-moulded lintel, and to the right, there is a 4-light casement. At the extreme right, the entrance has a moulded wooden frame and a ledged and studded board door with strap hinges. The interior has not been inspected. Warndon Court is graded II* as it is likely the earliest brick house in the county.
