Description

The Old Parsonage is a former parsonage now used as a house, dating from the 16th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and 20th century. The building features a timber-frame structure with painted brick infill and a tiled roof. It consists of four framed bays oriented north to south, with a single-bay wing on the southwest corner and a two-bay wing extending east from the northeast corner. There is an external stack on the south gable and another stack at the junction with the northeast wing, both featuring diamond plan shafts.

On the west front, there is a two-storey gabled wing on the left, which has a two-light casement window above a four-light casement window, both dating from the mid-20th century. To the right is the main range, also two storeys high, with irregular fenestration that includes four windows: single-light casements, except for the third window from the left, which is a four-light window set in a gabled dormer. The ground floor has three windows of two- and four-light casements, with the entrance on the right featuring a 20th-century ledged door. The framing is mostly close-studded, and the gabled wing has a truss with a collar and close-studding. Inside, the main room to the left (north) contains 17th-century panelling, although it has been relocated from another site.
