GV II*

House. Early C19. Brick with stuccoed front. Hipped plain tile roof behind high parapet with 2 rendered end stacks and lateral stacks to side and rear. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys and cellar; 2-window range. Ground floor is rusticated with plinth; upper floors have plat bands and panelled pilasters to ends and centre supporting deep eaves cornice. On 2nd-floor 4/8 sashes in moulded architraves. 1st floor: full-height 8/12 sashes in moulded architraves leading onto full-width decorative wrought-iron balcony with pitched lead roof supported by brackets. Ground floor: 8/8 sashes with projecting sills. Cellar grille. Doorcase on left has decorative fanlight; 6-panel, formerly 2-leaved, door; 2 stone steps with nosings. Brick dentilled eaves cornice to right return and rear. INTERIOR: curved wall to hall; dog-leg staircase has handrail with spiral curtail and stick balusters; fluted doorcases with paterae and panelled reveals; decorative doors with round-arched panels, some grained; internal decorative fanlight; grey marble fireplace.
