Description
Woodcote Manor House is an early 19th-century house, with later 20th-century alterations. The exterior is stuccoed brick, painted, with a slate roof hidden behind parapets, and end stacks. The house is three stories high, with some rustication on the ground floor of the left side and a moulded eaves cornice. It has three bays, featuring 16-pane sashes in the outer bays of the ground and first floors, and 8-pane sashes on the second floor. The central bay contains a 12-pane sash window on the first floor and a 6-pane sash window on the second floor; the central and left windows of the second floor are 20th-century replacements. A Doric distyle portico shelters the central entrance, which has a moulded architrave, a partly-glazed door, and a transom light with decorative glazing bars. The interior retains original ceiling mouldings and woodwork. A room to the rear left of the ground floor has fireplaces at each end, flanked by niches and a central archway. To the rear left of the house, there's an ornate cast iron porch with a swept lead canopy.
