Description
The Millers Arms is an inn dating from the mid to late 18th century, which incorporates earlier timber-framing. It features red and yellow brick laid in Flemish bond, with a painted ground floor. The building has a steeply-pitched plain tile roof, adorned with painted brick dentilled eaves and two brick off-ridge stacks.
The inn stands three storeys high with a cellar and has a two-window range. On the second floor, there are boxed horned 3/6 sash windows with moulded surrounds, painted channelled voussoirs, keystones, and sills. The first floor features similar 6/6 sash windows. The ground floor is notable for its full-width bracketed leaded hood, a canted bay window on the left with 4/4:6/1:1/4 sashes, and an 8/8 sash window to its right. To the right of the bay window, there is a doorcase with a wide 9-panel door, where the upper three panels are glazed. The exterior also includes wrought-iron sign fittings and lanterns. The interior has not been inspected.
