Candle Cottage is an early 18th-century house, originally listed as Bess Cottage. It is timber-framed with rendered infill and a thatched roof, featuring a central chimney stack. The house has two framed bays running north/south. The north front is gabled and has one storey with a gable-lit attic; it contains two casement windows on the ground floor. An entrance is located within a thatched lean-to on the left side.
