Description
Folly Cottage is a house dating from the early 18th century, with some alterations from the mid-19th century and mid-20th century. It features a timber frame with rendered infill and rubble, topped by a thatched roof. The building has two framed bays that are aligned east to west, with rubble gable ends and external gable stacks. The south front is one storey high with an attic, which is lit by a 2-light 20th-century casement window in an eyebrow dormer on the right. The ground floor includes three 2-light 20th-century casements on the left and a 3-light casement to the right of centre. The central entrance is adorned with a 20th-century thatched porch that has carved bargeboards. The framing consists of three square panels high. Inside, the cottage features exposed ceiling beams and an inglenook fireplace in the east room.
