Description

Woodfield is a late 17th-century house with alterations from the mid-19th century and repairs in the late 20th century. It is timber-framed with painted brick infill, standing on a painted rubble plinth, and has an artificial slate roof. The house has three framed bays aligned east to west. A gable-end stack of rubble construction with a brick shaft is situated on the east side. The north front of the house presents two storeys with three single-light casement windows. On the ground floor are two 3-light casement windows from the 20th century; the central window has a plank weathering, and a fixed casement is located to the right. The entrance, positioned to the right of the centre, is a 20th-century half-glazed door. The timber framing consists of three square panels in height. The west gable has been rebuilt in brick.
