Description

Sunny Bank Cottage is a house that likely dates back to the 15th century, with remodels from the 17th century and casing from the 19th century, along with some alterations from the late 20th century. The building features a rendered timber-frame construction sitting on a rubble plinth, topped with a machine tile roof. It is probably composed of two framed bays oriented north to south, with rubble gable-end stacks. The west front has two storeys and includes 20th-century windows: a top-hung casement on the left and two 2-light casements. The entrance, located to the right of the centre, features a 20th-century gabled and half-glazed porch, with a glazed door. Although the interior was not inspected, it is reported to contain a smoke-blackened roof with cambered tie-beams and curved braces.
