Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 15th century, with an extension from the late 15th century and some alterations from the 17th century. It is constructed of timber-frame with rendered infill, extended in coursed rubble, and features a Cotswold stone roof. The building has a T-plan layout, with a cross-wing aligned east to west from the late 15th century, and an early 15th-century range containing crucks that extends to the north, with a 17th-century section inserted at the junction.
On the west (garden) front, the right side has a two-storey cross-wing with a gable-lit attic and a casement window on each floor. To the left, there is a two-storey gabled projection from the 17th century, also with a casement window on each floor. The remaining part of the building to the left includes a stone outshut with two windows, one of which is an unglazed ovolo wooden mullioned window at the extreme left. The entrance is located at the right-hand corner beneath the gable.
The framing features two square panels high on the first floor, with curved tension braces, while the east gable is close-studded. The early range has framing with three square panels high. Inside, the crucks are visible in the early 15th-century range.
