Description
This barn, located about 15 metres north of The Durrance, dates from the late 17th century to the early 18th century. It features a timber frame set on a sandstone plinth, with weatherboarding and a tiled roof. The barn consists of five framed bays arranged in a north/south orientation. The central area includes a threshing floor, and there is a gabled cart entrance on the east side leading to the farmyard. The opposite side is blocked by a 20th-century lean-to, which is not included in the listing. The framing includes single rectangular panels at a high level, with raking struts supporting the intermediate trusses. The gables are designed with three queen struts leading to the collar, with V-struts positioned above.
