Description
The Old Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that has undergone restorations in the mid-19th century and around 1976. It features a timber frame with rendered infill and a machine tile roof. The structure consists of two framed bays aligned east to west, with a 19th-century brick wing added to the north, which was rebuilt around 1976. The main stack is located at the east end of the timber-frame section and is made of brick. The cottage is one storey high with a gable-lit attic and has two late 20th-century 2-light casement windows. There is a roughly central entrance flanked by a gabled porch. The framing consists of three square panels high, supported by straight tension braces.
