Description
No. 45 High Street is a shop building from the late 18th century that was altered in the early 20th century. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys. On the ground floor, there is a canted bay window with sash windows that include glazing bars and a stone base. Above the doorway to the right, a stone slated canopy supported by consoles extends over the entrance. The first floor has a 6-light window with rebated and chamfered mullions and a hood, which is likely a 20th-century addition. The doorway is designed with an elliptical arch that includes a keystone and impost blocks. There is a band below the parapet topped with coping and four decorative balls. This building is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
