Description
No. 49 High Street is a shop dating from around 1700. It is constructed from limestone rubble and features a thatched roof. The building is one storey high with an attic and consists of two bays. On the left side, there is a timber canted bay window set on a stone base. To the right, there is a casement window with plain reveals. The building also has two dormers in the attic. A boarded door, located between the two bays, has a timber door-frame and plain reveals. There are chimneys at each end of the building. Inside, the ground floor showcases chamfered spine beams and exposed joists. The right-hand room contains a stone inglenook with a bressummer.
