Description
The wall and gate piers at the front of Fernhill Heath House date from the mid-19th century. They are constructed of red brick in Flemish bond on a blue brick base, featuring stone copings and cappings on the piers. The wall in front of the house is approximately 10 yards long and 3 feet 6 inches high, with central gate piers and piers at each end. The flanking walls are both about 30 yards long and 10 feet high, also with end piers. The square piers sit on a blue brick base and have foliated frieze panels, with moulded pyramidal capping that supports acorn-shaped finials. This structure is included for its group value.
