Walls To Furze Hill Place

The walls at Furze Hill Place, dated 1900, are constructed of red brick with stone coping and feature wooden gates. The walls run downhill and vary in height, measuring approximately 5 feet on the right side and 12 feet on the left, extending about 200 feet in length. A square pier is located at the end on the right. To the right, there is a gabled, arched, and panelled gate set in a moulded surround, positioned between two square piers that are about 10 feet high, topped with stone coping and crowning spheres. To the left of the centre of the wall, there are two rectangular openings beneath a triangular pediment, adjacent to a second panelled gate under a broken pediment, which is flanked by two square piers also crowned by spheres. The wall on the left is articulated by piers with sphere decoration and features a dentilled top.
